E2F/CHR promoter architecture and cell-cycle timing
We investigate how compact promoter elements encode phase-specific repression and activation from G1 through cytokinesis.
Central question
How do E2F, CDE and CHR elements organise the timing and amplitude of human cell-cycle gene expression?
Cell-cycle promoters contain regulatory elements that function as molecular logic gates. E2F sites are central to G1/S control, while CHR elements recruit MuvB-containing complexes and are especially important for late cell-cycle genes.
